Everything merchants need to set up the app, manage compliance data, and display GPSR information on your storefront.
Quick start
- Log in with your shop domain.
- Create entities and assign to products.
- Enable the widget block in your theme.
For advanced workflows, use templates, rules and bulk editing (plan dependent).
What you can do
Core workflows for GPSR compliance.
Manage entities
Create and organize manufacturers, EU responsible persons, and importers. Store complete contact details including addresses, emails, phone numbers, and websites. Import/export via CSV for easy migration.
Assign to products
Link entities to products individually or in bulk. Add safety warnings (P-statements, H-statements, age restrictions). Include traceability data like batch numbers and serial numbers.
Render on storefront
Display GPSR information using Theme App Extension blocks. Choose from multiple layouts (default, compact, accordion, tabs). Customize colors and styles to match your theme.
Automate assignments
Set up rules to automatically assign entities based on vendor, product type, or tags. New products matching your rules get compliance data instantly. Save hours of manual work.
Templates & defaults
Create reusable templates for common compliance configurations. Set shop-wide defaults that apply to new products. Duplicate and modify existing setups quickly.
Monitor compliance
Dashboard shows compliance status at a glance. Filter products by status (complete, partial, none). Identify gaps and fix them before they become problems.
Entity management
Understanding the three entity types required for GPSR compliance.
Manufacturers
The company that designs and produces the product. Required for all products. Must include name, address, and at least one contact method (email, phone, or website).
Responsible Persons
An EU-based entity acting as compliance contact for non-EU manufacturers. Required when selling products made outside the EU directly to EU consumers.
Importers
The company that brings products into the EU market. Required when products cross the EU border through a commercial import operation.
Storefront widget
How to display GPSR information to customers.
- Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize in Shopify Admin
- Open a product page template
- Click 'Add block' and select 'GPSR Compliance' from the app blocks
- Position the block where you want it to appear
- Configure display options (layout, colors, visibility)
- Save and preview on your live store
The widget reads data from Shopify metafields, so changes sync automatically.
Data & storage
We keep storage close to Shopify to ensure reliability and security.
- Product assignments stored in Shopify metafields (gpsr_compliance namespace)
- Entities and settings stored in encrypted app database
- Widget reads directly from metafields for fast rendering
- No third-party data sharing — your data stays with Shopify and us
